Sizzix 3-D Embossing Folder 662715, Mechanics by Tim Holtz, One Size

The Sizzix 3-D Embossing Folder 662715, Mechanics by Tim Holtz, is a popular and well-received embossing folder. It has a size of 14.6cm x 11.4cm, providing a good surface area for embossing projects. Customers have reported successfully using this embossing folder with various machines, such as the Sizzix Big Shot and Big Shot Plus. However, its compatibility with the Sizzix Boutique machine is uncertain, as the user does not have information about its size. It is recommended to check if the boutique machine can handle A5 size paper, as this embossing folder should work with that size. In terms of plate usage, different machines may require different combinations. The Sizzix Big Shot Foldaway, for example, may require only the platform with no plate for the embossing folder to go through. On the other hand, the electric Gemini machine requires a specific sandwich configuration as stated by the manufacturer: "Base clear cutting plate > magnetic shim > embossing folder with card/paper inside > plastic shim." It is important to Consult the machine's manual or manufacturer's website for the correct plate setup. Customers have also mentioned using this embossing folder on leather. While it is possible, they suggest doing a small test piece first to check for any cracking on the leather surface. Additionally, experimentation with plate combinations on the cutting/embossing machine may be necessary to achieve the desired results. Overall, the Sizzix 3-D Embossing Folder 662715, Mechanics by Tim Holtz, is highly praised for its performance and results. It offers a fantastic embossed effect when used correctly.
