Product Details
- Experience a new level of connection with your horse by replacing the harsh nutcracker action of traditional bits with an anatomically superior design. The Myler MB 09 Dee Snaffle Bit is engineered to provide exceptional tongue relief and stability, encouraging a soft, relaxed jaw and clear communication for both green and sensitive horses.Expertly crafted from high-quality stainless steel, this Level 1 bit is the gold standard for riders seeking a harmonious partnership. The mouthpiece features a distinct ergonomic curve that wraps comfortably around the bars and lips, while integrated copper inlays promote the natural salivation necessary for bit acceptance and a responsive, supple mouth.Key Features & Specifications: Level 1 Curved Mouthpiece: Specifically designed to distribute pressure evenly across the bars and lips, eliminating the painful pinching of the tongue common in standard single-jointed snaffles. Integrated Copper Inlays: High-quality copper strips encourage salivation and a sweet taste, helping to neutralize mouth acids and fostering a more willing, relaxed horse. Low-Profile 3/8 (9.5mm) Diameter: A thinner mouthpiece design that is ideal for horses with low palates or thick tongues where vertical space in the mouth is limited. Stable Stainless Steel Dee Ring: Provides direct rein action and superior lateral guidance, ensuring the bit remains stable and prevents pinching at the corners of the mouth. Competition Legal: This versatile bit is fully approved for use in USEF, FEI, and USEA dressage and eventing competitions, making it a reliable choice for the show ring. Precision Sizing Design: Myler bits are manufactured approximately 1/8 larger than their stated size to ensure the mouthpiece doesn't pinch the horse̢۪s lips, providing a safer and more comfortable fit.Frequently Asked Questions:Q: How do I ensure I am choosing the correct size for my horse?A: Myler bits follow a specific 1/8 oversize rule to prevent pinching. When fitted, you should see 1/8 to 1/4 of the bit on either side of the mouth; if you measure your horse's mouth with a dowel and fall between sizes, we recommend sizing up to the next 1/4 increment.Q: Is this bit appropriate for a young horse just starting their training?A: Absolutely. As a Level 1 bit, the MB 09 is specifically designed for green horses learning basic rein aids, offering a gentle introduction to bit pressure while encouraging proper head carriage and relaxation.Item Number/SKU: 89-21097
