Kidde Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector, Hardwired with 10-Year Battery Backup, Voice Alerts, LED, 85 dB, 30CUA10-V, 1 Pack

The Kidde Hardwired Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector garners a reputation for reliability and user-friendly operation based on customer experiences. Many reviewers highlight its effectiveness and longevity, with several reporting that their previous Kidde detectors lasted a full decade before needing replacement, living up to the advertised 10-year battery backup. Users appreciate the peace of mind these devices offer, knowing they are safeguarded against carbon monoxide threats, even if no alarms have been triggered during their usage periods. Installation appears to be straightforward for most buyers, with various users noting how simple it is to fit the new units into existing mounts and wiring. Those who opted for Kidde’s products again after a decade of satisfaction generally felt confident in their purchase, often citing the brand’s history of high performance in their homes. However, not all feedback is positive. Several customers have encountered issues with false alarms or product malfunctions after relatively short periods. Instances of alarms sounding unexpectedly during the night led to frustration, with one user reporting multiple false alarms occurring in a short timeframe. These negative experiences, particularly regarding product reliability and the aggravation of dealing with returns or replacements, have left some customers dissatisfied. Kidde's customer support does receive commendation, indicating that users have found them responsive and efficient when addressing concerns. Still, the need for exchanges and issues with certain models has impacted overall satisfaction levels negatively for some buyers. Overall, the Kidde Hardwired Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector is a well-rated choice for many, though potential buyers should be aware of varying experiences with reliability and customer support interactions. **
