HNF Flashing Editorial Review
The 14136 1.5"-3" Rain Collars Replacement for No-Calk Roof Flashing has garnered a mixed reception among users. Overall, many customers appreciate the ease of installation and its effectiveness in solving common roofing issues, particularly for outdoor settings. For instance, one reviewer successfully adapted the collars to prevent rain from filling up their outdoor umbrella bases, showcasing the product's versatility beyond its intended use. The collars usually fit well on 1.5-inch pipes, with some users demonstrating that a careful trimming technique can help achieve a secure fit for larger sizes. However, issues arise particularly with the 2-inch pipe size, where customers reported complications with trimming – leading to fitment problems and even tears during installation. Some users have praised the no-calk feature as a significant advantage, emphasizing that the material used is what sets the product apart. Nevertheless, there have been noteworthy concerns from a segment of the users regarding the durability of the collars, especially when it comes to fitting them tightly; they risk tearing, which has led to frustration. Despite these mixed reviews, the product remains mostly favored for its practical application in waterproofing efforts. **
