Better Boat Plumbing Fittings Editorial Review
**** The Brass Boat Drain Plug Kit has garnered mixed feedback from customers who appreciate its quality but have voiced concerns regarding a notable oversight in its installation components. Users typically find the drain plug effective and well-made, noting that it tends to resist gumming up more than standard brass plugs. Many Consider it a great value for its price and admire its marine-grade quality, expressing confidence in its resistance to rust. Installation appears to be straightforward for most users; however, a recurrent theme in the reviews highlights the inadequacy of the supplied screws. Customers recommend sourcing longer and more durable screws separately to ensure a secure fit in their boat’s hull. Despite the initial disappointment over the aesthetics, which some felt were duller than depicted, users noted the ability to polish it out, giving room for aesthetic improvements. Overall, while the main components of the kit receive high marks for functionality and quality, the installation experience jeopardizes the ease of use, with the screws emerging as a significant drawback. A purchasing recommendation includes investing in additional sealant to prevent leaks, which seems necessary for a successful installation. **
