What is Collinite 870 All-In-One Cleaner Wax used for?

Collinite 870 All-In-One Cleaner Wax is specifically formulated to clean, polish, and protect marine and RV surfaces. This cleaner wax effectively removes oxidation and brings back the original luster of your vehicle or boat. The all-in-one formula means you can restore shine and apply UV protection in a single step, making it perfect for those who want a quick yet thorough solution for maintaining their investments.

How does Collinite 870 remove oxidation?

Collinite 870 contains specialized cleaning agents that effectively lift and break down oxidation accumulations on fiberglass, gel coat, and painted surfaces. By gently buffing the surface with this cleaner wax, you can effectively remove dullness without causing damage, leaving behind a protective layer that not only enhances appearance but also prevents future oxidation.

Can I use Collinite 870 on all types of surfaces?

Collinite 870 is suitable for a variety of surfaces, particularly fiberglass, painted finishes, and gel coats commonly found on RVs and boats. Its versatile formula ensures that it can be safely used on these surfaces, while still providing excellent cleaning and shine enhancement. Always test a small inconspicuous area first to ensure compatibility with any specific finish.

How often should I use Collinite 870 Cleaner Wax?

The frequency of application of Collinite 870 can vary based on environmental conditions and usage. For boats or RVs that are regularly exposed to sunlight and outdoor elements, applying the cleaner wax every few months is recommended to ensure optimal protection and shine. Regular use will help maintain a glossy appearance and prevent the build-up of dirt and oxidation.

What are the benefits of using Collinite 870 compared to other waxes?

Collinite 870 stands out due to its all-in-one formula which combines cleaning, polishing, and protection in a single application. Many traditional waxes require multiple steps to achieve similar results, making Collinite 870 a time-saving choice. Additionally, its ability to provide a long-lasting high gloss finish while protecting against UV rays makes it an ideal option for marine and RV enthusiasts.

Is Collinite 870 suitable for use in hot weather?

Collinite 870 can be used in hot weather; however, it's essential to apply it in cooler conditions or under shaded areas to prevent streaking or difficulty in buffing. Working in direct sunlight may accelerate the drying time, making it harder to achieve a smooth finish. For best results, apply it during early morning or late afternoon when temperatures are milder.

How do I apply Collinite 870 for best results?

To apply Collinite 870, first clean the surface to remove dirt and debris. Shake the bottle well, and then use a soft, clean applicator pad to apply a thin, even layer of the product in a circular motion. Allow it to dry to a haze, then buff with a microfiber cloth to reveal the high gloss shine. This method ensures maximum effectiveness and a flawless finish.

Will Collinite 870 protect against UV damage?

Yes, Collinite 870 contains UV inhibitors that help protect surfaces from harmful sun rays. This is particularly essential for marine and RV applications, where prolonged exposure to sunlight can lead to fading and deterioration. Regular use of Collinite 870 not only rejuvenates the appearance of your vehicle but also provides a protective barrier against UV-related damage.

Can Collinite 870 be used on painted surfaces?

Absolutely! Collinite 870 is designed for use on various types of painted surfaces, including automotive and RV finishes. Its gentle formula cleans and polishes the paint while providing a protective layer, making it safe for all types of paintwork. As always, it's advisable to test it on an inconspicuous area to ensure compatibility, especially on older or custom finishes.
