The MAJOHN M2 Fountain Pen in Metallic Purple is a great economical pen for those who love fountain pens. The pen comes with a rubber o-ring seal that securely closes the ink so there is no staining noted in the barrel. Although it has a fine nib that is similar to Western fine nibs, it's broader than a Japanese fine nib, which is roughly equivalent to a Japanese medium nib. It caps nicely and snugly with no drying in between uses. It is a good candidate for being a daily writer. It is an eye-dropper pen which holds large capacity ink and is very economical. Although the pen comes with a fine nib, you can easily change it out for a different size nib as the nibs on the MAJOHN M2 are #5 nibs which are interchangeable. However, some customers have noted that the nib occasionally hard starts but not enough to make them take the nib out, although it's worth mentioning. The pen has a clear, shiny smooth surface that looks great and catches the light nicely. It's a great first pen for those who want to learn about eye-dropper pens.
