The Intel NUC NUC7PJYHN Barebone System with the Mini PC Pentium Silver J5005 is a good purchase according to the reviews. The barebone system comes with no drive, RAM or power cord, but customers can easily purchase a NEMA 5-15p to C5 cord. The system can run a maximum of 8GB of RAM and has two slots for RAM. The BIOS/UEFI is user-friendly, and customers can turn off the secure booting option for older and unpopular Linux versions. The NUC can handle 4k video with ease, and the wifi works well. However, the physical audio port has been removed, which hinders the use of physical audio cables, and hence, the NUC is not recommended for cases where Bluetooth is unreliable or distances are an issue. With rare exceptions, both the N and non-N versions officially support a maximum of 8GB RAM, but some customers have been able to run 8GBx2 with specially selected RAM.
