Answer: I have not had any issues with the zipper rubbing. My issue is these boots are described as Australian made. I was disappointed to see a made in China label on the inside. -

What is the length of the shoelaces for these shoes?
Answer: They have a 36" lace: however the ones I have are equipped with the additional side zipper which works very well and elevates the constant use and wear of the lace. These boots are very comfortable and have remained so for the past year. I am on my feet on concrete for 12 hours a day and have no issues with them at all.

This work boot is well made, durable, and comfortable straight out of the box. The side zipper makes it easy to get in and out. It comes with a 36" lace and has a perfect fit. However, there were issues with the snap buttons on the straps breaking. It occurs that the boots run small, and the shipping charge for returns is a concern for buyers. The product is relatively light in weight, and the ASTM standard is marked inside the shoe.
