Berkley PowerBait Catfish Bait Chunks Fishing Dough Bait

** Berkley PowerBait Catfish Bait Chunks Fishing Dough Bait** The Berkley PowerBait Catfish Bait Chunks have garnered a mix of praise and critique from customers, particularly among anglers targeting catfish. Many users have experienced success in catching channel catfish and bullheads, reporting that the bait is effective even in the presence of other fish species. It's noted for its appealing scent that seems to attract catfish in various lake and pond environments. However, the product does come with its challenges. A Consistent concern among customers is the bait's fragility; users have reported that the chunks crumble easily and can fall off the hook during casting. This has led many to experiment with different hooking methods, such as using spring treble hooks or cheesecloth to increase the bait’s durability on the line. Additionally, while the bait performs well initially, it tends to dissolve quickly in warmer temperatures, making it less effective after the initial bites. A side note shared among users is the unfortunate tendency for turtles to be attracted to the bait, which can detract from the catfishing experience. Another critical issue raised relates to the packaging; while the bait itself has proven effective, the ziplock bags are often poorly Constructed, leading to customer frustrations. Many recommend purchasing extra bags to ensure sufficient supply for a day of fishing, as the packaging can fail quickly after a few uses. Despite these drawbacks, the overall sentiment remains favorable among users who find Berkley PowerBait Catfish Bait effective for their fishing needs. When managed carefully with regard to temperature and securing on the hook, it can yield gratifying results on fishing expeditions. **
