Could I use this with canopy on its own to raise temperature when needed for my crested gecko in winter UK temps?
Answer: I have a leopard gecko and I use this light along with a halogen bulb and heat mat to boost the temperature. It should work for your crested gecko as well. -

Answer: Yes, we have used it for our Leopard Gecko and our Bearded Dragon. Both are happy with it. -

Answer: You can leave it on for most of the day. I have 2 white tree frogs and I use it for them. Just turn it on in the morning and off in the evening. They are absolutely fine with it. -

Answer: I have been using this lamp for my gecko and I haven't had any problems. The temperature reaches a maximum of 23°C, but it may depend on the size of your vivarium. -

Does this bulb give actual heat? I need to make my tank 4/5 degrees hotter. Would the 60w bulb do this?
Answer: This bulb does give out heat, but I'm not sure if it will provide the extra heat you need. You can try the 60w bulb and see if it works.
