    Answer: Yes, it is. However, I wouldn't buy this headset. The one I received had a Mic and one speaker that didn't work.

    Answer: Works with Macbook Pro. That's what I use it with. No extras needed.

    Answer: Only when they are older than say 3rd or 4th grade, the headphones minimum size is too big for smaller kids. I suggest you buy one set and test it out with the kids before buying a whole bunch of them. Good luck!

    Answer: The driver should load automatically when you plug in the headset. My computer is 64bit Win7 and I have no trouble with these headsets.

    Answer: When I find something good I buy a few, of course the price has to be right so I have a couple in their original packaging and I'll type what it say. Noise Canceling mic element, Certified noise canceling microphone, -62dBV/microbar, -42dBV/Pascal +/-4dB. frequency response, Headset: 20 to 20,000Hz, Microphone: 100 to 16,000Hz, Impedance: headset 32ohms,Microphone: 2.2k ohm. Internet calling/Appel Internet, Music, Gaming and all other internet calling programs. Doesn't say Skype but I use it and it's great. Hope this helped it's all there is on the box.
