Answer: It depends on what you use with it. Softer graphite will smear but the colored leads don’t. I have the multicolored lead that matches this pencil, it doesn’t smear. -

Hello I just got this pencil can anyone tell me how to get the lead to go from inside the pencil to stick out so I could write with it?
Answer: The lead is moved by pressing the sharpener knob in leaned pencil position, which opens the clamp and the lead is slid out. The lead can be sharpened and the sharpener is located in the knob that is to be screwed out. -

dear, can this be used with 3.15 mm lead? or do you have a 3.15/3.2 mm koh-i-noor magic lead holder? thanks!
Answer: No, this leadholder is for 5.6mm leads only. We do not have any 3.2mm magic leads. -

How sturdy is the finish? I have one of the silver ones and the paint is just about worn off. My black one, on the other hand, has held up pretty well.
Answer: Mine has held up just fine. I also have a silver one & it is more prone to getting nicked up. The swirly finish makes nicks less noticeable. -

What kind of sharpener works with this lead?
Answer: Any sharpener works. The leads sharpen beautifully. I use a hand held sharpener. But there is a sharpener in the cap on the top of the clutch pencil. Very easy. -

Will this hold the woodless pencils?
Answer: No sorry. The woodless pencils are 7-7,5mm and the holder can fit in max. 6mm leads. -

How do you change the lead?
Answer: It is like any other lead holder, you press the button on the end and release the lead, or lengthen it , or change it out. -

Is there a lead pointer in the cap?
Answer: Hello, je you mean by lead pointer, a sharpener, yes there is one... and it is very useful. -

Does this holder come with any leads? And What is your opinion of the magic lead color?
Answer: Yes, 1 magic color lead. The color is as expected , kind of grade schooly! Not much I could do with it besides write. But as far as the lead holder itself goes, fantastic! Worth every penny! Solid!
