It contains Octocrylene, Homosalate, Octisalate, and Avobenzone as active ingredients and a range of other additives, including Plankton Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, and Benzyl Alcohol. The lotion protects against sunburn and skin irritation by jellyfish, sea lice, and swimmer's itch. Safe Sea was invented and formulated by Scientists from Israel and filled in the USA. The product has been clinically tested for Chrysaora (sea nettle) jellyfish at the Stanford University School of Medicine-Department of Dermatology. The test results showed that Safe Sea lotion inhibits the sting of the jellyfish, and no visible signs of sting were notable in any of the treated arms. Safe Sea SPF50+ is not protect against sand fleas or other insects. Using it with other lotions can damage its protection and water resistance.
