The meter is made in China and no picture is provided to show where to open the battery compartment. The device is precise, with accuracy within 2%, but there is a +-3%+10dgt accuracy range. The unit efficiently measures light levels ranging from 0.1 lux to 200,000 lux, corrected for luminous efficiency function, and is easy to use. However, the calibration of the meter can be off and as it doesn't have an auto shut off function, it will consume batteries faster. The readout display is low-contrast, does not have a backlight, and is difficult to read. Finally, the meter is cheap and it lacks case, auto-ranging and a delayed power button.
